What institution is behind dblp?
Until summer 2011, dblp was produced solely by the computer science department of the University of Trier.
Now, dblp is a joint project of
- Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz Center for Informatics
- and the University of Trier.
The University of Trier is (like most German universities) a state university. The main budget comes from the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Schloss Dagstuhl is a "gemeinnützige GmbH" (i.e., a charitable non-profit organization under German law). Schloss Dagstuhl was founded to support and promote the worldwide computer science community.
The dblp project receives and has received grants and donations by the following organizations:
- Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation),
- Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Scientific Community),
- Klaus-Tschira-Stiftung gGmbH (Klaus Tschira Foundation),
- Microsoft Research,
- and the Very Large Data Base Endowment.
as well as a number of individual donors. You can donate to dblp, too.
